So please save the date and join the forces to establish persistent identifiers in the world wide research data management.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About the organisers<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td valign=\"top\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pidconsortium.net\/\" rel=\"nofollow\">ePIC<\/a>\u00a0is a consortium of European partners that provides an identifier system for the research community.\u00a0Its focus is the registration of data with persistent identifiers:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>in a finer granularity and higher dynamics than usually needed for citation purposes,<\/li>\n<li>or in an early state of the scientific process,<\/li>\n<li>where lots of data is generated and has to become referable in collaborations with other scientists,<\/li>\n<li>where the persistent value of the data is still unclear in the scientific process,<\/li>\n<li>but where at least some metadata should be persistently accessable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>ePIC is setup as a highly reliable, persistent and high performance services through a network of strong data centers that have implemented a redundancy scheme and share the same service, the same API and the same framework of policies.<\/td>\n<td valign=\"top\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.datacite.org\/\" rel=\"nofollow\">DataCite<\/a>\u00a0brings together stakeholders from research communtities to address the challenges of making research objects visible and accessible.
